Terms of Peace

We often view Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem through rose-colored glasses. However, Luke points out Jesus' lament over Jerusalem because they did not recognize the day of visitation, the terms of peace that God has extended to them. Do we understand the terms of peace that God extends to us, or are we seeking peace and fulfillment through our own means and methods?
